Not Every Battle is Yours

Does the world seem loud to you??

In this day of age, most people are surrounded by many mediums of information. When it comes down it, either the information is necessary or unnecessary for our lives.

I used to be someone who thought that I needed to read or hear every important conversation that is happening around me:Care about every injustice, notice every offense, hear every opinion while trying to form my own. I would dive into different topics and put my two cents in whatever thread I was allowed to participate in when it came to social media.

It is no secret that there are millions of topics that exist on social media and on news sites and channels. Yahoo, MSNBC, FOX, CNBC, The Blaze, TMZ and so on all utilize their media outlets to start or join in “the buzz”. Rightfully so! And when we can, I think it is important to hear what they have to say, but we need to know something: not one human being can save the world.

This is not an invitation to being totally passive. In fact, this is more about learning to delegate what energy you have to change things around you. This is an invitation for you to discern which battles you must fight and which battles you must let others fight. It is okay to not comment on everything that might require attention. It is okay to not join every cause that comes your way. Not every fire is meant to be put out by you.
